都表現(xiàn)“升起”，rise，raise，arise，arouse的區(qū)別很多人分不清

①These days, people who do manual work often receive far more money than people who work in offices. People who work in offices are frequently referred to as "white-collar workers' for the simple reason that they usually wear a collar and tie to go to work. ②Such is human nature, that a great many people are often willing to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of becoming white-collar workers. This can give rise to curious situations, as it did in the case of Alfred Bloggs who worked as a dustman for the Ellesmere Corporation.

今天文章解讀：

Such is human nature, that a great many people are often willing to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of becoming white-collar workers. This can give rise to curious situations, as it did in the case of Alfred Bloggs who worked as a dustman for the Ellesmere Corporation.

很多人常常寧愿丟棄較高的薪水以互換做白領(lǐng)工人的殊榮，此乃人之常情。而這常常會惹起種種奇異的征象，在埃爾斯米爾公司當(dāng)干凈工的艾爾弗雷德.布洛斯就是一個例子。

（1）such與倒裝句

Such is human nature…

such位于句首時，尋常是用于重申，后方跟倒裝句。such和so表現(xiàn)“云云”不同的場合在于，such后方跟名詞，而so后跟形貌詞。

如今我們來看下倒裝句。

倒裝就是主謂反著寫。稀有的就是疑問句了，另有就是there be布局。只是各位不會心識到這一點罷了。

There are 12 months in a year. 一年有12個月。

分明看出，謂語are位于主語12 months前。

好比另有使用倒裝布局的有句首以否定詞或有否定涵義的詞或短語開頭Seldom has he met us lately. 他邇來很少與我們晤面。

（2）sacrifice … for …

for尋常我們會看為“為…”，由于sacrifice是捐軀的意思，以是這個詞組就是“為…捐軀”，假如說嚴(yán)峻點就是捐軀生命，尋常就是捐軀時間，或丟棄某物。好比：

He decided to sacrifice a trip for a new house. 為了置辦新屋子, 他決定丟棄旅游。

（3）rise，raise，arise，arouse的區(qū)別

This can give rise to …

起首give rise to 是惹起或招致的涵義。記取即可，重點在于rise這個單詞。rise和raise，arise，arouse都是“升，起”之意，但各不相反。

rise是不及物動詞，不必要跟事物，用于表達(dá)本人上升，本人起來之意。

raise是及物動詞，后方跟事物，以是是使某物上升。

arise是不及物動詞，很少用于地點上升的意思，尋常會表明為原因于，產(chǎn)生。

arouse是及物動詞，其本身主要用于表達(dá)“喚起，激起”，好比激起心情什么的。

（4）in the case of 在…情況下

case可以表現(xiàn)“實例”，在盤算機(jī)步驟三個布局：排序，循環(huán)和分支中，就用到這個case。

switch case語句。（盤算機(jī)言語——分支）

在這里case就是“實例“的意思。

放在這個詞組中，in the case of 的用法就是在浩繁的情況下某一個實例產(chǎn)生了什么。當(dāng)沒有the的時分，即in case of時，意思是“萬一”，“假如”。

In case of an enemy invasion. 那萬一有仇人入侵的話。
